Office 365
This is Microsoft’s subscription services, hosted in the cloud and includes a variety of software bundled together in simple monthly or yearly packages. We highly recommend and support Office 365 installations for all our clients. Microsoft’s hosted services include Email and the latest version of Office all bundled together with Skype for online calls and collaboration.
Although there are many versions of Office 365, the typical installation we find most suitable for most clients is the E3 version. This includes the Office Suite of software and Services, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote. Sharepoint and Skype for Business are also included Free as part of this bundle.
Sharepoint
This “In the Cloud” document management and storage system by Microsoft is a web-based platform that integrates with your Office Suite of products. It is often included as a free add-on with your Office 365 subscription. In addition to its powerful collaboration features many organizations use SharePoint to create websites and Intranet sites, all easily accessible from any browser.
